What Have You Learned About  Technologies From The Process Of Constructing This Product?

Video drive:

The video drive was very useful because it kept everything together, our clips, pictures and presentations.

Camera:

We were taught on how to use the cameras. First we learned how to insert the memory card so that our work was saved safely. Also how to insert the battery by just hearing a click so we knew it was secure. Most important, we learned how to turn the camera on, by just pressing a button. The best way to get stable shots is by using a tripod. We were taught on how to set it up so it didn’t collapse.

Final cut pro:

Final cut is the best programme to use to edit a movie. You can shorten the clips, make it faster, or slower. You can cut out the bad scenes to make the movie perfect. You can also create titles for your movie and also sound. Above all, you can add special effects.

Live type:

This programme allows you to add titles to your movie. You can choose the type of font you want. Change the colours, size and style to adjust to your film

Soundtrack pro:

On soundtrack pro we learnt how to mix sounds together to suit our film. It was easy to add it to our film, but pretty hard to find what exactly we were looking for. It had a huge range of sound effects to choose from.

This programme allows you to convert a video into an mp4 file so you can upload it onto your blog. At first it was pretty complicated but once you get the hand of it, its really easy and useful.

In lesson, our teacher showed us a website which helps young people to distribute their films. www.firstlightonline.co.uk.

This helped us as it gave us ideas on to how to distribute our thriller movie.

What lies beneath


i will be analysing what lies beneath as when we watched it in class, this film stood out to me the most.

Analysing Film Fonts

I wasnt in this lesson, however Rima told me briefly about the lesson. She told me it was a great lesson which taught her a lot.

Fonts are very significant to a film and can attract audiences without people even realising.

Film Schedule

As 2 members of our team aren't here, I and Rima have decided to schedule our filming.

Last lesson we spoke to the head of science to see when the lab is free, for the investigation in our film.

He told us the dates the lab would be free and asked us to do a list of the things we need for our film.  

This is the list we gave him:

• two white lab coats
• goggles 
• test tubes
• dish
• white sheet 
• spatulas 
• microscope 

We have decided to meet up at three on Tuesday to start filming for our lab scene.

On Wednesday, we have a three hour lesson which is great to start our film in Hampstead heath for the murder scene.

For this scene, the props we need to bring in are:

• fake blood 
• white sheet 
• smart clothing 
• casual clothing
• headphones 
• police tape
• change of clothes 

This is the schedule we have organised for our filming. We hope everything goes according to plan, and that our team mates don't let us down. 

Let down! What A Waste Of Time..

I (Rima) and Jessica have turned up for our lesson today, only to find out that Amy and Sophie are absent!

We were both very letdown as unfortunately this meant that we cannot start filming!

So basically in other words coming to this lesson was a complete waste of time!

As we did make an effort to come to lesson, we were told to blog and make use of our lesson.. Instead of going out and starting on our film!

So in this lesson we decided to plan our schedule for our filming J

We also have to go see the head of science to see what lab is free and which one we can use for our filming.

When making a thriller, the audience is very important.


what is the significance of a film being recognised as belonging to the thriller genre?


*Helps audiences to choose films they want to watch 
*If the audience know its a thriller, they will probably want to watch it

The audience watching thrillers tend to like the adrenaline rush when they watch one.

*Targets certain audiences, by putting trailers on before other trailers 
*Aimed at thriller lovers

*A sense of familiarity 
*Gives the audience a clear idea of what to expect
